Organised by the Creative Industries Council as part of London Tech Week, the conference will showcase the international growth potential of the burgeoning Createch sector.
Createch is a wide-ranging term that describes an eclectic array of projects combining technology and creativity. Musicians and artists using blockchain to protect and exploit their IP. Brands creating blending virtual reality and live experience to launch new products. Craftspeople teaching new techniques to surgeons and scientists.
Createch 2018 Summit will bring together business leaders, entrepreneurs, artists and technologists to meet and explore the opportunities and challenges presented by Createch now and in the future.
In the morning session you’ll hear from speakers including DCMS minister Matt Hancock and Steven Chang, corporate VP of Chinese tech giant Tencent, who will discuss the Createch sector in China.
After lunch there will be eight breakout sessions showcasing Createch innovation. Expect to hear about augmented and virtual reality, personalisation, experiential, artificial intelligence and the internet of things. Lewis Silkin will be taking an in-depth look at how blockchain can be used to protect IP, while Kingston Smith will talk about finance and funding.
